Encouraging professional growth

At WYOTA, we believe that collaboration and knowledge sharing are vital in advancing the field of occupational therapy. We organize semi-annual conferences that provide a space for sharing knowledge, ideas and best practices, and allow occupational therapists to network and build professional relationships. Our goal is to support our members in their professional development, and to promote the importance of occupational therapy in improving lives and communities.

Providing education opportunities

WYOTA strives to provide quality education yearly to our state practitioners. Topics are chosen by our practitioners and board members. We strive to bring in Occupational Therapy practitioners that have made a difference in our profession. With the primary objective to improve quality of care of all Occupational Therapist in our state. Our topics have historically been based in the physical disability and pediatric realms. We strive to represent all practitioners in our state and ask for recommendations at our yearly business meeting and post conference surveys. We want to hear from you!

Advocating for OT

WYOTA advocates for the occupational therapy profession by engaging with local and national policymakers to promote beneficial changes. The association also provides a forum for discussing concerns and opinions while keeping everyone up to date on current issues affecting occupational therapy. WYOTA's advocacy aims to educate clients, employers, and government stakeholders about the value of occupational therapy.

  • What is WYOTA?
    WYOTA is a non-profit state occupational therapy organization helping to support occupational therapists, occupational therapy assistants, and occupational therapy students in Wyoming through advocating for the OT profession, providing networking opportunities between practitioners in our state, facilitating continuing education opportunities, and direct involvement with state and national legislation that impacts OT services in Wyoming.
  • Why should I be a member?
    As a member of WYOTA, you support the work that WYOTA does to improve the provision of OT services in Wyoming and continue to strengthen the OT profession in our state. You also get discounted rates to attend our annual conferences, typically held in September. With membership monies, WYOTA can continue to bring high-quality, in-person education opportunities to our state.
